Happy Christmanukkah!
As the December darkness starts yielding to the twinkling lights and winter solstice, we find ourselves blessed with not one, but two remarkable celebrations of hope, persistence, and light!
Although today, Judah Maccabee has been somewhat upstaged by a charming fellow called Mensch on the Bench, and Jesus’s birthday party is now hosted by a jolly guy in a red suit with a penchant for snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, the core messages of these observances still shine as bright as that miraculous oil and the Star of Bethlehem!
Both stories remind us that even when things look impossibly dark (like the looming tariffs), a little light can go a long way. The Maccabees didn’t have enough oil for eight days of illumination, let alone four years, and allowed Santa’s clothes to be changed to red through aggressive Coca-Cola promotional campaign, yet they persevered.
Regardless of your color preference, these holidays teach us that with determination, stakeholder management, and a supportive team, we can overcome any challenge. So, as we wrap up this year (pun absolutely intended), it’s time to step away from our screens and spend precious moments with our families – whether you’re spinning dreidels, decorating trees, or doing both! Because at the end of the day, it’s not about the miracles of KPI dashboards, but the everyday miracles of having loved ones around our table.
As Christmas and Hanukkah align their lights this rare and eventful year, we must seize this special moment to celebrate our togetherness. May your holidays be bright, your latkes crispy, and your eggnog perfectly spiced and affordable.
See you next year, refreshed and ready for new adventures!
